Use of a Larkin Frame This workshop is designed for MR teams who support low level road side technical rescues such as gorge / canyon environments and extraction from flooded quarry’s, harbor areas or coastal cliffs. Gorge environments often involve highly technical extractions involving a range of equipment including suspended rope access systems. The Larkin Frame can in some situations take away the need for Tyrolean rope access systems. The Larkin Frame simply extends / cantilevers the rescuer and stretcher away from loose rock faces and difficult vegetation maximizing a clean extraction line. It is also used on harbor walls or any other difficult water rescue situations.
